Life Reflections

Artist Young was born on October 4th , 1952 to the union of John & Rosie Young.

Artist was wed to Geraldine Young on August 11, 1973. To that union a son was born, John Young.

Artist was raised in Crystal Springs, MS and moved to Detroit, MI in 1967. Artist graduated from McKenzie High School in 1972 and then pursued a career at Chrysler Motor Company where he became a skilled trades electrician. Artist was one of the best electricians around.

Artist loved to laugh and joke around especially when he and his twin Otis got together. To this day there are people that didn’t know they were talking to one thinking they were talking to the other. Artist always found something to smile about.

Artist departed this life on July 28, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rosie Young. Siblings: Rachel Stamps Lyons, John Young Jr, Larry Young and Shirley Ruth Young.

Artist leaves to cherish his memory one son, John Young. Siblings: Paul Young (Dorothy), Joe Tom Young (Joe Lena), Clarence Young (Gene), Lawrence Young, Otis Young (Cynthia), Darlene Reid, Stella Burdette (Mack), Loretta Martin (George), Betty Young and a granddaughter, Alyx Nova Young, A special friend, Brenda Robinson, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
