Carveyette L. Gilmore

Carveyette L. Gilmore, affectionately known as "Miss" was born on October 20,1982, at Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital to Ms. Shelia G. Linson and her stepfather Charles A. Linson and Godfather, Marvin Murray.

She pursued her education in Monticello, MS and began her career in healthcare at Lawrence County Hospital in 1998. In 2004, she returned to Hazlehurst, MS, where she continued working in food service and management. Missy worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Copiah Lincoln, and held managerial roles at McAllister's. Missy later joined the team at Home Depot where her journey came to a peaceful close on December 19, 2025.

Missy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Anthony L. Slay.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter: Raveyaira Gilmore; Goddaughter, Niyah Brown; Grand daughter, Kaylnn A Gilmore; Fiancé' Carlos Vincent; her father, Parker Washington, Sr.; Siblings: Daron(Allison) Gilmore (Ferris, TX) Charles Gilmore of Hazlehurst, MS., Parker Washington, Jr.; sister, Kisha (Lucious)Neal(Byram, MS); Uncles and Aunt, Charles and Mary Taylor, Jerome and Monica Short, Gary and Cristy Killsworth, Aunt Sandra Wilson, whom she called Kathy, Special Uncle Blake Bailey, Uncle Charles James Jerom. Michael Wilson, Keith Donnell, Tony Gilmore and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
