Charles Terry was born on December 21,1943, in Terry, MS to Katie Mae Hart Terry Green and Herbert Terry and grew up in Terry and grew up in Terry. From an early age, he demonstrated kindness, intelligence, humor, and resilience. He attended Hinds County Schools and worked in many jobs, where his dedication and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond his career achievements, Charles was a man of many passions and talents. He found joy in baseball and cooking. Whether it was playing baseball, watching it or spending time with his family, Charles lived life with enthusiasm and gratitude.
Family was at the center of Charles' life. He was a devoted and loving husband to Willie B. whom he married on January 25, 1969. Together, they built a home filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. As a father, he was a pillar of strength and guidance to his children Anthony, Sr., Michael and Nicholas teaching them the values of hard work, compassion and integrity. His grandchildren, Hannah, Jakavious, Anthony, Jr., Malik and Shaquail, were his pride and joy, and he delighted in every moment spent with them.
He will be remembered for his warm smile, hearty laugh and unwavering positivity. Charles had a unique ability to make others feel seen and valued and his presence brought light into every room he entered. He taught those around him the importance of living with love, gratitude and purpose .
He is survived by his wife; Willie B.; his children: Anthony Sr., (Shanta), Michael and Nicholas, his grandchildren: Hannah, Jakavious, Anthony, Jr., Malik and Shaquail; three great grandchildren and three great grandsons: one sister, Sarah Green; four brothers :Frank Terry Sr., James Terry, Earmon Green Jr., (Shenita) and Vernon Green(Jackie); four sister-in-law, Gala Terry, Sheila Terry, Beola Powell, and Margaret Powell; and one brother -in-law; Wallace McGee. He reunited in eternal rest with his parents, Herbert and Katie Mae; his stepfather, Earmon Green; his precious Aunt Maude Scott; his sisters, Patsy Ruth Minor and Ruby L. McGee; his brothers, Albert, Herbert, JR. and Steve Terry; and his sisters-in-law, Ida Mae and Mable Terry.
