Danette Lanae Campbell

Genesis: In the begining He Created

On December 26th 1966 Danette was born to the union of Eddie James Harris and Lena Mac Hunley Harris who survives her.

She was a graduate of Crystal Springs High and went on to earn her Associate Degree from Draughon's Business School in Jackson, MS.

Affectionately known as Nae Nae had a true Servant Heart. She had a smile that would illuminate your heart.

She carried out her life tasks with quiet determination, unwavering strength, and grace. Her gentle spirit and thoughtful approach would impact those who crossed her path leaving us the better for knowing her.

To the grands, she was affectionately as Gigi. They were the love of her life.

She faced immense pressure, stress, hardship, and even cancer with courage and resilience. Through it all, she never allowed her joy to be taken from her and she fought courageously until the end of this life.

Then God who knew her end, prepared a special plan for her departure. She meets the Brown's Family of Columbus, Ohio. Significant in her final years and days of this short life conveying an out pour of affection, torrent of tenderness, wave of devotion and surge of warmth until her passing.

Danette was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jeanette Harris and Troy Harris, and maternal grandparents, Geneva Hunley and Bradley Hunley. She was also preceded in death by her two loving children, Amanda Wells and Bashad Green.

Danette will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish memories loving parents, Eddie James Harris of Crystal Springs, MS; Lena Mae Hunley Harris of Jackson, MS; a daughter, Jazmin Lanae Green of Canton, MS; her siblings, Sherry Renee Robinson Fuqua of Brandon, MS, Latonda Michelle Hunley Shearrill (Rubin) of Dallas, Texas, Timothy (Gabriel) Darden of Jackson, MS; Grandchildren, Amaiya Smith, Amari Wells, Amil Wells of Terry, MS, Tristan Picket, Khalil Green, JehLani Gipson, Christopher Gipson of Canton, MS. Nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles and a host of cousins.
