James Earl Brown

James Earl Brown, affectionately known as Mooney, passed away on October 1, 2023, at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial in Jackson, MS. He was born on May 16, 1945, in Crystal Springs, MS.

Mooney will be remembered for his kind-hearted nature and his love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and joy that will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A graveside service to celebrate Mooney's life will be held on October 7, 2023, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Crystal Springs. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 2:00 PM.

Mooney is survived by his loving wife, Adline Brown. His daughter Ruthie Summers and her husband Michael will carry memories of their beloved father close to their hearts. Mooney's granddaughter Cherish Dixon and her husband Xavier, as well as his grandson Marcus Hartley Jr., will forever be grateful for the love and guidance he provided. Great-grandson Ar'Zavian Mason and Landon also hold treasured memories of their time spent with their great-grandfather.

Mooney was a beloved member of a large extended family, including brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives who loved him dearly. His warm smile and caring nature touched the lives of countless individuals who considered him a friend.

In addition to his family, Mooney had a loyal companion named Darrence Gopher Brown. Together they shared many adventures and formed an unbreakable bond.

Mooney's impact on those around him cannot be overstated. He had a way of making others feel valued and loved through his acts of kindness. His genuine compassion touched the lives of many and left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.

As we say our final goodbyes to Mooney, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
