Jonas O'Brian Jones

Jonas O'Brian Jones was born July 27, 1983, in Hinds County, Jackson, MS to the parents of Calvin Jones and Jacqueline Hollis Jones. He departed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Medical City Forth Worth.

Jonas joined Greater New Friendship Missionary Baptist in Brandon, MS at a young age. He later became a member of New Dimensions International Fellowship of Ministries in Jackson, MS under the leadership of Bishop Thomas M Jenkins and Pastor Rose Jenkins.

He attended Gary Road Elementary, Terry High School, Hinds Community College and International Academy of Design and Technology in Florida where he earned a BA in Fine Arts. He worked as an Information Technologist for prisons across the United States.

Jonas was joined in holy matrimony in 2014 to Aniris Judith Santiago Perez of whom he loved dearly.  He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Jonas' memories will forever remain in the hearts of a loving family, his wife-Aniris of Keller, TX; his parents-Calvin and Jacqueline Jones of Terry, MS; a brother and sister-Kurt and Karma Jones of Terry, MS; a mother-in-law-Iris Perez Garcia: a father-in-law-Angel Luis Santiago Melendez; 2 brother-in-law-Ange Luis(Dana) Santiago Perez and Joshua Alexander Santiago Perez all of Puerto Rico; Uncles and Aunts-Julius(Laquinta) Hollis of Jackson; Valarie Brown of Terry, MS; Jeannette Jones of Detroit, MI; Robert (Millei) Perez of New York; Josian(Ida)Santiago of Puerto Rico; Judith Santiago and Gladys(Felex) Santiago of Florida; 2 nephews-Austin an Eoloy Santiago and 1 niece -Alana Santiago of Puerto Rico- 4 great uncles; 6 great aunts and a host of relatives and friends
