Kenneth Knarl Kendrick

Kenneth Kenarl Kendrick, Sr.; the son of the late Eddie and Ollie Wilson Kendrick, was born October 16, 1954. He departed his life on January 17, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Ollie Kendrick; son, Thomas O. Kendrick; grandson, Calvionte Kendrick; two brothers, Charles and Earl Kendrick; sister, Mary Powell; three sisters-in-law, Roberta, Bettie and Pauline Kendrick; brother-in-law, Clyde Powell and stepdaughter, Cynthia Crisler. 

Kenneth attended Perryman Elementary and Terry High School. He moved to Detroit, MI and worked for General Motors. Kenneth returned back to Mississippi, where he worked with Monroe Powell in the pulpwood industry and Burt Brown. Kenneth began to work with Nathaniel Fields in masonry and later retired from A1 Concrete. When he wasn’t working, he was doing what he loved, fishing, hunting, and hanging on “The Hill” at his brothers Buck’s house with family and friends. 

Kenneth was united in holy matrimony to Linda Ann Glasper in 1976, and to this union four children were born. He leaves to cherish his loving memory; two daughters, Jennifer Brown of Crystal Springs, MS and Grace Kendrick of Silver Creek, MS; one son, Kenneth Kendrick, Jr. of Crystal Springs, MS; three brothers, James Kendrick of Terry, MS, Lenfield (Deborah) Kendrick of Detroit, MI and Laverne (Brenda) Kendrick of Crystal Springs, MS; five sisters, Ollie Jean (Luke) Mitchell of Chicago, IL, Fannie (Charles) Powell, Elmira (Carl) Murray, Annie Walker and Diane (Earsking) Barnes all of Terry, MS. He has seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Later in life, he developed a long term relationship with Claudette Crisler. He has three step-children, Keisha, Dwight and Ralph Crisler all of Crystal Springs, MS; four step-grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
