Lamarcus D. McGee

LaMarcus "Skeet" McGee was born on January 8, 1982, to Melvin Wade and Verna Griffin. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Wade and his stepmother Meredith "Kay" Wade. On March 8, 2026, LaMarcus peacefully transitioned to his new life.

LaMarcus was known for his warm and caring spirit. He loved cooking and shared that passion generously, preparing meals with love for family, friends and anyone in need. His quiet, humble heart and willingness to serve will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He became a member of Collis Hill COCHUSA and graduated from Terry High School. He later attended Hinds Community College, Utica Campus. LaMarcus worked for many years in brick masonry and remained dedicated to his craft until his transition.

Treasuring his memory are his children: his son, Christian(Drake) and his daughters, Markayla and Elizabeth. He also leaves behind his bonus children, Shanecia, TyWaynecia and Tildrick, who lovingly called him "Dad" and his bonus granddaughter, K'Lani.

He is also survived by his mother, Verna; his grandmother, Delores; his brother Patriaun; and his sisters, Shalece(Mario) and Raven. LaMarcus shared a close bond with his uncle, Shelton, his aunt-sister, Aisha and his cousin Charles (Boo).

He will be lovingly remembered by his godchild, Kelsey; his godmothers, Martilia "Tee" Arthur and Faye Jackson; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
