Larry Darnell Harrison, was born on November 27, 1959 to Grace Shivers in Crystal Springs, MS. Grace married Clayton Young and the three relocated to Maywood, IL Soon after, Larry was adopted by his maternal grandfather, Charles (Ella) Harrison of Maywood, IL
Larry attended Irving Elementary School and Proviso East High School. Upon graduating high school, he moved back to MS to attend Jackson State University. After some time in college, Larry made the decision to venture into the workforce. His career included stops: BC Rodgers Food, Inc. in Morton, MS; Standard Roofing in Jackson, MS; Sheldon Labs, Inc. in Crystal Springs, MS which he retired from.
Upon transitioning to retirement, Larry enjoyed hanging out with his closet friends that were like brothers, watching sports and living a simple life. He was a LA Raiders fan through and through, but he reserved room for the home team, the Chicago Bears. He was also a big fan of the LA Lakers and the Jackson State Tigers. Having recently relocated to Houston he was growing to be a University of Houston fan and cheered on the Houston Texans.
Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Grace (Clayton) Shivers Young; bonus parents, Charles(Ella( Harrison and his brother Jeffrey Young He is survived by his sisters, Cassandra Young, Renee and Lynette Johnson and Pamela Love; his brother Clinton Young and host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family and friends that loved dearly.
