Lt Colonel Glen Alfred Jordan

Glen Alford Jordan, 59, passed away on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After one month in the hospital following a severe stroke, he went peacefully in the comfort of his home with family by his side.

Glen was born on Mar h 27, 1966, in Cameron, Missouri, to Charoltte Jean and Harold Dean Jordan, He attended J.C. Penny High School in Hamilton and graduaed in May 1984 before enrolling at Missouri Western University, where he studied Physical Education and joined ROTC.

Glen was commissioned into an the Army during the summer before his college graduation in December 1988. Having being stationed at Fort Sill, OK; Fort Stewart, GA; Heidelberg and Hanau, Germany; and Hattiesburg, MS(twice), he retired from active duty in 2010. He continued working at Camp Shelby as a DA civilian until his "re-retirement" in March 2023.

Glen spent his last two and a half years living everyday as if it were Saturday. He enjoyed any and all sports, especially baseball, basketball and bowling. On the weekends, he could be found cheering on his favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Ole Miss Rebels. A craftsman at heart, he had the most fun when landscaping, woodworking, fly-tying.

Glen's family was his pride and joy. He met his wife Lisa during his first semster of college. His mom had made him four and half years before he proposed in December 1988. They were married soon after, on March 25th, 1989, and spent a beautiful 41 years together before his passing. Mikayla was born to Glen and Lisa in 1998, and the family became complete with th e adoption of Tamara and Artem ten years later. He loved spending time with his "wifey" and kids , and they will treasure memories of camping and fishing together every summer during the early years as a family of five. 

Above all, Glen's faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior is what motivated him. He believed in showing love through service (John 12:35) and would tell everyone that he found his strength through God, wearing his favorite verse (Phillipians 4:13) around his wrist. When there was a need in his community, he would try to meet it and was known for going above and beyond to do his best work as.if working for the Lord (Colossians 3:23).

 Glen is survived by his wife Lisa (Uthe) Jordan, his children, Tamara, Artem and Mikayla Jordan, his mother-in-law, Patricia Uthe, his father-in-law, Loren Uthe; his sisters-in-law, Lori (Uthe) Litzinger and Dawn Mitzner, his brother-in-law, Les Uthe, his  cousins, Gary Jordan, Diane Chew and Devin Chew, his nephews, Brett (wife Tia and children, Razi and Rain) Brandon and Brock, his nieces, Morgan and Lagaice, and other extended family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Charlotte (Caldwell) King Jordan, and his father, Harold Dean Jordan
