Lula Bell Lewis Robinson was born January 14,1930, in New Hebron Mississippi to the late John Lewis and Annie Bell Gardner Lewis. She peacefully passed away on July 3, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Robinson; two sons, Edward Earl Robinson and Lawrence James Robinson; one grandson,
Tyrone Ward II; and one great-grandson Andrew Gibbs.
At an early age Lula Bell joined the Brushy Creek Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of reverend W.H. Hines, Sr. She was a mother, a deaconess, a member of the mother' board, a member of the mission, and member of the choir.
She worked for Universal Magnetek in Mendenhall, Mississippi until she retired in 1993.
Lula Bell was devoted Christian ,and a loving wife , mother, sister, daughter, and friend .She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy: six children , Eugene (Joyce) Robinson of Crystal Springs MS, Lula Mae Ward of Jackson, MS, Evelyn (Lonnie) Roberson of Georgetown, MS, Carolyn McCadney of Jackson, MS, Patrina (Glen) Dace of Terry, MS, and Curtis Charles (TreMekia) Robinson of Georgetown, MS; three additional grandsons she reared, Eric Keith Robinson, Carlos Orlando Robinson, and Deondric Jarquez Ward; three sisters-in-law, Johnnie Jo Robinson, Carrie Lewis, and Cornelius Woodard; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including two special mothers, Mother Lucille Young and Mother Beulah Harper.
