Margaret O G Williams

    Margaret Williams, known affectionately as “OG,” was born on August 29, 1955, in Hinds County to the late Harry and Bertha Brown. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age at Little Mount CME Church and remained a devoted member throughout her life. 

    Margaret was a vibrant and outgoing individual who never hesitated to strike up a conversation with anyone she met. Her presence was marked by her outspokenness and warmth. She attended Hinds Agricultural High School and later embraced the role of a dedicated homemaker. 

    Margaret was preceded in death by two sons, Marcus Williams and Tierre Williams, (Crystal Springs, MS) as well as a granddaughter, Derricka Epps, and a great-granddaughter, Zoey Epps, (Jackson, MS.) 

    She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to be carried on by her children: Keisha Brown, Dariek Williams, Kenyon Williams, T’Shonna Williams, and Derrunte Williams, all of Crystal Springs, MS, as well as her bonus son, LeeArchie Cooper Jr. (Theresa) of (Jackson, MS.) Her siblings include: Willie James Banks (Judy) of Brooklyn, NY; Harry Brown Jr. (Larna) of League City, TX; Rosie Brown Cooley of Fort Mill, SC; Henry Williams; Eva Hamilton; Barbara Brown; and Aline Roberts, all of Utica, MS. Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Williams and Wilamena Brown. 

    Her legacy extends through her 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Margaret’s impact on the lives she touched 

will be remembered fondly, as she now rests in the 

embrace of the Lord, whom she served 

faithfully throughout her life.”
