Marteze D. Johnson Sr.

Marteze Demon Johnson, Sr. was born on May 6, 1976 to the late James Earl Johnson and Betty Jean Johnson.

Marteze Johnson attended Crystal Springs High School and was the class clown. He worked at Sheldon Lab System for several years. Marteze was known for his wittiness and his jokes. Marteze was loved by everyone he came in contact with.

Marteze gained his wings on  Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Marteze was a devoted father and grandfather. Marteze was a trusting son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Marteze is preceded in death by his father, James Earl Johnson; his mother, Betty Jean Johnson; grandparents, Johnny Lee Johnson, Annette Johnson, and Eva Mae Mathis; his brother-in-law, Lionel Furnace.

Marteze leaves to cherish his legacy with two sons, Marteze Johnson, Jr. and Montreze Johnson; three grandchildren, Issac Johnson, Marka'lyn Johnson and Myla Johnson; three sister, Cynthia Furnace, Eva Rhymes(Robert) and Tarsha Johnson; two brothers, James Johnson(Marie) and Clifton Johnson; a special aunt/second mom, Frankie Jean Crisler; childhood best friends, Homer Young and Tyion Ervin and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
