Mary Lo Thompson was born on August 18, 1933 in Martinsville, MS to Dora Lee Jenkins Belton and Grant Belton, Sr.
She attended Chapel Hill School in It, MS. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Where she served as an usher. She also served as the choir director. She loved to cook and take care of everyone who was around her and go fishing.
She met and married J.E. Thompson and to this union six children were born: Noah Columbus, James Edward, Thomas , Cecil Paul, Angela Diane and Velechia and step children, Earlene, Delois, Margaret Rose and Walter Lee were all added to form one big happy family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E., parents, Grant and Dora Lee Belton; sisters, Katie Mae Belton, Washington and Laura Belton Warren and brothers John Dee Belton, Contella Belton, Clifton Belton, Sr.. Grant Belton, Jr., Robert Belton, Cleotha Belton, Howard Brown, Sr. and Johnny Belton.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her son, Noah Thompson; grandchildren; Tavion Thompson, Zavion Thompson, Nolanion Thompson, Ja'Quavis Washington, Noahtayjsa Thompson, Noahiah Washington, Taiwan Dixon, Que Thompson, Zariah Little and Antionio Johnson; special daughters, Shenese Washington and Lillie K. Washington and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, special loved ones, Emma Todd and Ashley Bouie and friends.
