On September 9, 1966 in Flint, Michigan, a son was born to Betty Jean Ingram Wilson and Joe Kendrix, who was named Terrence Charles Wilson.
Mr. Wilson grew up in Michigan and received his early education at Civic Park Elementary, Academy, and Flint Northern High School. He attended Alcorn State University. He also served in the United States Marine Corps for six years.
Mr. Terrence Charles Wilson was married to Beverly Wilson for 36 years. From this union, they had two wonderful daughters, Brittany Wilson and Tiffany Wilson.
As a young man, Terrence was baptized in Jesus' name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. When he was a little boy, he loved walking to Sunday School. He said Sunday School was his favorite part of church.
Later in life, Mr. Wilson became a member of New Life Apostolic Church, where he served as a minister and Sunday School teacher. Mr. Wilson was about Jesus.
He often said that he stood on the truth of God's Word. It is written in the Word of God that we are to walk by faith and trust in the Lord with everything. Terrence Wilson was a man of faith. He would always quote Hebrews 11:6: "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
He was a family man and hard worker. Out of all his jobs, he enjoyed working at the University of Mississippi Medical Center the most. He did not allow his circumstances to take away his joy and trust in the Lord.
Job 13:15 says, "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him." When he finished quoting the scripture, he would say, "I trust you, Lord."
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Kendrix, mother, Betty Wilson, and sister, Celestine Hobson
His loving family will remember Mr. Terrence Wilson: his wife, Beverly Wilson; his two daughters, Brittany Wilson and Tittany Wilson; his sister, Paulette Hemphill of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of nieces and nephews.
