Orlando Brown Sr., affectionately known as "Redd," passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 50. He was born on September 25, 1972, in Jackson, Mississippi, to his loving parents Lee P. Brown Jr. and Ida L. Brown.
Orlando received his education from the Canton School System in 1991 and embarked on a remarkable journey in the workforce. He dedicated himself to hard work and perseverance and eventually co-founded Brown's Drywall and Painting with his brother.
Orlando was a man of many roles and responsibilities, but above all, he cherished his role as a father. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children: six daughters - Shaniqua Mann, Gailyn Brown, Brittany Brown, Kalundria Wesson, Felecia Keyes Bysheba Brown and one son, Orlando Brown Jr. His fourteen grandchildren were a constant source of joy and pride for him.
Deeply connected with his family, Orlando shared a special bond with his twin brother Hernando (Leteka). Additionally, he was blessed with seven other brothers and eight sisters who stood by each other through thick and thin. Family gatherings were always filled with laughter and precious memories.
Beyond his immediate family, Orlando touched the lives of numerous relatives and friends. His warm heart extended to uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins - all who will remember him dearly.
Orlando's contagious enthusiasm for life will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Whether it was sharing stories over coffee or cracking jokes that had everyone doubled over in laughter, he had an innate ability to light up any room he entered.
A celebration of Orlando's remarkable life will be held on September 9th at Greater Faith Calvary Pentecostal Church in Canton starting at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome to join this special event to honor and remember Orlando.
In his time on earth, Orlando Brown Sr. left an indelible mark on the hearts of many. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will live on in the cherished memories he leaves behind. May his soul find eternal rest, and may his loved ones find solace in the legacy of love he has left behind.
