Robert Pickett

Mr. Robert (DD/Bob) R. Pickett, son of the late Robert Lee and Willie Bell Pickett was born on June 26, 1959 in Jackson, MS. He was the oldest of seven children. He serves as a member of the United States Army for 4 years and was employed with Brush Creek for 21 years. He departed his life on Wednesday March 11, 2026, at 10:22 p.m., at the G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery Medical Center.

He was united in holy matrimony to Shirley Jean Ellis on June 24, 1996. To this union there were no children born, he loved and helped raise Samuel O'Keith Underwood as a child of his own. He was proceeded in death by his parents Robert Lee and Willie Bell Pickett, two (2) sisters Deborah and Tiffany Pickett and two (2 angels) great nephew little Hayden Skipper and little Elijah Butler.

He is survived by a loving wife Shirley Pickett and a stepson Samuel O'Keith Underwood. Three (3) sisters Phyllis (Roy) Wade, Tammy (Dwayne) Thompson, Keishay Pickett and Kennisha Pickett. One (1) brother Kevin Pickett. Seven (7)Nieces and Nephews: Ree & Dee Thompson, Dwayne Jr.(Eboni) Thompson, Thaddeus (Agua) Wade, Roznick Pickett, Quintarius Wilson, Shuntay Skipper and Aquavious Pickett.
