Roy Lee Jenkins Sr.

Roy (Big Roy) Jenkins, Sr. was born on March 10, 1959, to the late Thelma Guynes-Jenkins and Clauzell "Buck" Johnson. He accepted Christ at an early age at Saint Mary's Church and later became a devoted member of Free People Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained until his earthly journey ended on September 9, 2025.

Affectionately known as "Big Roy" or "Hoop" he was deeply loved for his unwavering devotion to family, his passion for cooking and his generous spirit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. 

Roy was preceded in  death by his parents, Clauzell and Thelma; one sister, Bessie Barnes; one brother, Michael Wayne Jenkins and one son, Roy Buck, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: six children: Alfonzo (Kawyer)Buck, Troy Buck, Azavria Hayes, Corinthal(Fred)Hannah, Latisha(Mario) White and Kenneth Burrell.; three sisters:Bobby Jean(Louis) Gordon, Lizzie Arnold and Louise Rock; seven brothers: Clauzell(Debra) Bradley, Emmitt( Rose)Ivory, Oscar Johnson, Donald(Yolanda) Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Roger Ervin and Jessie(Mildred)Johnson; fourteen grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends

Roy's legacy of love, kindness, and service will live on through the many lives he touched.
