Ruth Ann Watson

"And it go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.". - John 14:3

Ruth Watson, affectionately known as "Ann," was born on February 14, 1961, in Cruger, Mississippi, to the late Willie Mae Patrick and Richard Baker. She accepted Christ at an early age and remained devoted to her faith throughout her life, trusting in the Lord through every circumstance.

Ann was a graduate of Murrah High School and earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Hinds Community College. She was a hardworking and dedicated woman who worked at Pleasant Hills Nursing Home, University Hospital, and Walmart until her health prevented her from continuing.

Ann was also known for her loving heart and her gift for cooking. She found great joy in preparing meals for her family and others, using food as one of the many ways she showed her love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mae Patrick and Richard Baker; her husband, Albert Watson; and her brother, Kelvin Patrick.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Clarissa Patrick and Jeremy Patrick (Veronica); grandchildren, Lekiya (Eric) Hall, Faith Patrick, Dmya Whitsett, Damien Whitsett Jr., and Silas Patrick; siblings, Bliza Patrick, Brenda Finch, Ernest Patrick (Allison), and Shirley Coleman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Her earthly journey is complete, but her love, faith, and beautiful memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Her spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter and every ast of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.
