Valerie Stewart

Valarie "Val" Stewart was born on July 28, 1968, to the late James Washington and Daisy Bell Stewart. On Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Lawrence County Nursing Center she answered God's call and began eternal rest. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzle books, shopping and was known to leave a lasting impression on anyone she encountered. 

Valarie is preceded in death by both parents Daisy Bell Stewart and James Washington a brother Gregory Stewart and daughter Marquita. 

She is survived by two children, Demarcus and Monica (Lavar)and grandchildren Takareon(known as Chucky), Jayla, Disney and Lavar Jr. "LJ"; sisters Yvonne, Mattie, Renee, Feleicia and Edna; brothers Carl, Victor (Janice), Bobby and Antonio. A special nephew and two nieces, Scottie, Loretta, and Desjaniro who took great pride in providing her care; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbors, dear friends and acquaintances who help a special place in her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
