Willie James Brown

Willie James Brown was born on November 2, 1976 and peacefully transitioned from this life on January 8, 2026. Willie was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and friend whose presence left a lasting impact on all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Louise Chaney and Jessie Todd; his brothers, Johnny Chaney and Freddie Robinson; and his bonus parents, Amos and Lula Robinson, all of whom welcomed him him in heaven.

 Willie leaves to cherish his memories his three devoted children; one daughter, Aaliyah Brown and two sons, Timothy Brown and Phanon Davis. He was a proud grandfather to three grandchildren: Ja'niylah Brown, Kelsey Brown and Jayvion Brown, who brought him immense joy.

His is also survived by his loving siblings: brothers, Roger Chaney and Jamar Chaney, both of Hollandale, MS; Jessie Chaney of Milwaukee, WI and sisters  Tracey Robinson of Hollandale, MS and Debbie Patricia Robinson of Memphis, TN.

Willie shared a special bond with his grandmother, Leolo Sanders of Hollandale, MS and held a close friendship with Mary Lloyd who remained dear to his heart.

Willie James Brown will be remembered for his strength, love for family and the many lives he touched. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
