"The Master is come and calleth for thee" – John 11:28(KVJ) was the secret message of the silent angel at the bedside of Mr. Willie B. Kendrick, Jr., delivered on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Willie B. Kendrick, Jr. was the first son born to the late Willie B. Kendrick, Sr. and Laurine Holliday. His birth occurred on a Friday, May 14, 1954, in Copiah County.

Willie B. accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age, became a Collis Hill Christ Holiness Church member, and was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. Thomas. On August 5, 2025, he renewed his membership at Collis Hill Chris Holiness, U.S.A. Church, Terry, MS, and receiving Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord. He attended and graduated from Terry High School. In his early years, he worked several jobs: Magnetek Universal Manufacturing, Inc., Mendenhall, MS, Grand Gulf Nuclear Station, Port Gibson, MS, and later retired from Corey Bryant Concrete Company, Vicksburg, MS.

He was a quiet and compassionate man who never hesitated to help friends and others within his community. He was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bulls and loved watching his team play. He enjoys working in his yard at home, fixing cars and riding mowers, fishing with friends, and having family gatherings with his family and friends.

Willie B. has moved to his new home to spend out eternity with loved one gone on before him: His father, Willie B. Kendrick, Sr., his mother, Laurine Holliday Kendrick, his sister, Mary Alice Kelly, his brother, Calvin Leon Kendrick, maternal grandparents, Walter and Mary Elizabeth Bozeman Kendrick, Eddie and Alice Holliday, brother-in-law, Emmit Barnes and Eddie Bailey, his niece, Brittany Osborne, and son-in-law, Martel Beaver.

He leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories:His daughters: Kim Lackey-Beaver, Florence, MS; Veronica Lackey, Brandon, MS; Althie Brown, Jackson, MS; and Dorothy Knight, Byram, MS. His sons: Nikeith (Paige) Brown, Crystal Springs, MS, and Brad Harvey, Florence, MS. His grandchildren are Kadejia, Travelious (Tyree), Keya, Eboni, Edniyah, Aliyah, Ivy, Ava, Annalisa, Alexandra, Kennedy, Brandon, Quadree, Joshua, and seven great-grandchildren.

He also leaves special memories: His sisters: Doris (Odell) Stringer, Betty Barnes, Wanda Barnes, all of Terry, MS; Wavine (Danny) Osborne, Columbus, MS. His brother, Melvin (Michelle) Kendrick, Jackson, MS. Sister-in-law, Jacqueline Kendrick, Crystal Springs, MS, and brother-in-law, Sammy Kelly, Sr., Terry, MS. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
