Yolanda Renee Buckley, affectionately known as Niecey, born on January 13, 1966, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She peacefully passed away in the same city on February 2, 2024.
Yolanda's legacy is one of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She had a contagious smile that could light up a and her kind-hearted nature endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In her early years, Yolanda received her education at Bassfield High School and later continued her academic journey at Hinds Community College. Her thirst for knowledge and dedication to learning were evident throughout her life.
Yolanda's hobbies included engaging in long conversations over the phone and showcasing her culinary skills through cooking for loved ones. Her ability to connect with people through heartfelt conversations and delicious meals created lasting memories for those around her.
She leaves behind a legacy that will be carried on by her family and friends. Yolanda is survived by her grandmother, Willa Katherine Harper of Carson, MS; four children - LaSherrie (Jahnathan) Buckley of Bassfield, MS, Brandon Hall, Lorenzo Buckley, and Denzel Buckley all of Carson, MS; three grandchildren - Jayden Magee, Jha'Nyla Magee, And Ja'Shun Magee all of Bassfield, MS; her companion Micheal Taylor; two aunts - Charlotte Lynn Curry, Melvia (Joe) Thompson all of Carson, MS; an uncle Connie Hall of Jackson, MS; three siblings - Sandra (James) Bennet of Madison, MS, Derrick (Keisha) Hall of Carson MS, and De'Olive (Anthony) LaBarbera of San Antonio TX. Yolanda will also be dearly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends Michelle Sims and Carolyn Durr.
The services to celebrate Yolanda's life will be held at Short Chapel CME Church in Bassfield. A visitation will take place on February 8th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life on February 9th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Yolanda Renee Buckley touched the lives of many with her love and laughter. While she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
